Spring Hill School is nestled in the small town of Excelsior, MN, on
the shores of beautiful Lake Minnetonka. Spring Hill was established in
1988 as a Waldorf preschool/kindergarten and has grown into a thriving
K-8 program including handwork, Spanish, woodwork, music, art and games.
We will graduate our first 8th grade in June 2008.
Spring Hill School is a developing member of AWSNA with an enrollment
of nearly 120 students. We have a dedicated lively faculty, a supportive
board and staff and an enthusiastic parent body. The western suburbs of
Minneapolis are widely known for their many lakes and regional parks that
provide outstanding recreational opportunities and an abundance of natural
beauty. The metropolitan area also includes two Waldorf grade schools,
a Waldorf-inspired charter high school, a local branch of the Anthroposophical
Society, and the Novalis Institute, which provides adult education and
Foundation Studies. The Twin Cities is home to nationally acclaimed symphony
and chamber orchestras, theaters and museums.
